A supportive family based in rural Somerset (postcode BS26) are seeking a nurturing and patient live-out nanny for their two boys, aged 12 and 8 years old. After experiencing a recent parental bereavement, they are dedicated to creating a loving environment that fosters well-being and holistic education.
Days/Hours:
- Either 1 or 2 days per week to suit the right Nanny.
- Hours 10am-4pm with some flexibility to suit the right Nanny
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive care and support to both boys, focusing on their emotional and developmental needs.
- Engage the eldest boy, who is homeschooled and has ADHD, in tailored educational activities.
- Organize and accompany the children on outings to places of interest, promoting social interaction and exploration.
- Implement strategies to enhance social skills and boost self-esteem following recent challenges.
- Collaborate with the family to create a flexible schedule that accommodates both the children’s needs
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Ideally previous experience working with children, particularly those with ADHD or special education needs.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with a genuine love for nurturing and supporting children.
- Knowledge of holistic education principles and the ability to implement them effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with children and work collaboratively with the family.
- Flexible schedule to meet the family’s needs, along with a willingness to adapt to varying circumstances.
- Willingness to commit to the family, not suited to a Nanny looking for a short term temporary role.

- Up to date First Aid certificate or a willingness to complete.
Salary:
£15 – £20 gross per hour with some flexibility for the right candidate.
